Speciesism
Treating an entity's species membership as the reason for its moral consideration.
What it commits you to
Singer's term for singling out members of one's own species as the ones owed consideration, modelled on racism and sexism as forms of unjustified partiality. He argues for the principle of equality, which gives every sentient being equal weight. The extension of the argument to artificial minds is what makes it directly relevant to alignment rather than only to animal welfare.
