Shu

Reciprocity: consider others from their perspective, as you would want to be considered.

What it commits you to

Shu is the reflective virtue, the habit of taking another's point of view before judging them. Analects 15.24 gives the most famous version of the golden rule, phrased as a question about what you would desire. It is the most practically usable of the Confucian virtues for questions about whose perspective a system was built to represent.
